Browse Canadian area codes by province
Canada shares the +1 numbering plan with the US. Pick a province to see its area codes and run a reverse lookup on any Canadian number.
Toll-free area codes
Calls to these codes are free from the US and Canada - and because a toll-free caller ID looks like a bank or a big company, they're heavily spoofed by scammers. Click any code for FCC complaint trends, the most-reported numbers, and lookups.
Caribbean & international +1 area codes
These island nations share the +1 country code, so their numbers look like US or Canadian calls - which is exactly why one-ring and callback scams favor them. Click any code for coverage, scam warnings, and a reverse lookup.

What is an area code?
A US area code is the first 3 digits of a 10-digit North American phone number. It identifies the geographic region assigned by the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) - the shared numbering system for the United States, Canada, and several Caribbean countries. Newer overlay codes cover the same geography as an existing code once its numbers run out, which is why cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Miami have multiple codes.
Scammers frequently spoof local area codes to make calls appear trustworthy. Looking up an unfamiliar number - or checking a specific code's recent scam patterns - is the fastest way to know whether to answer, ignore, or block.
Discovering the truth about a phone number, email, or address history can be eye-opening, please use this tool with caution.
